The Guest House

Rustic Casual Charm.

Once the proud homestead of the Oliver family dairy farm, The Guest House still presides over an expansive spread of rolling hills at the foot of the Tennessee Mountains. Now, its rich heritage continues as this home place has been fully restored by Paige & Chad Baker, to host a new generation.

The home has been transformed into a unique landmark for retriever field trials, where avid sportsmen may evaluate the performance of their dogs in a competitive environment. For trainers and outdoorsman alike, Mountain View Farm is an ideal retreat. Exclusive access to the renowned South Holston River is a benefit enjoyed by guests. Fly fisherman come from far and wide to outsmart the native trout. For the rest of you anglers, our stocked pond offers bass and tilapia ready for the catching. Yet others may enjoy hiking or just relaxing on the flagstone patio.

Produce is harvested from our private garden and paired with local, organic ingredients that only taste like they’re from out of this world. But the atmosphere, with its rustic, casual charm, will make you feel like you’re right back home. Catch up on some much needed relaxation and camaraderie. Be our guest at this exclusive one-of-a-kind retreat.

The Baker Guest House is the perfect place for relaxing after a long day of dog training or trout fishing. I have had several clients stay at The Guest House that were very pleased with the accommodations. The Bakers go out of their way to make each guest feel welcome and at home.
I have conducted several dinner seminars there as well. From the box lunches to the gourmet dinners, Mountain View Farm offers an amazing array of dining options. It truly makes having seminars there a joy and a pleasure. The entire atmosphere has added a comfort and elegance to my clients’ overall experience.
